"Hide and Seek" was screened at the first ever Downtown Los Angeles Film Festival on Saturday, August 16th at the Laemmle Theatres, and received excellent praise and feedback from many in attendence. This pioneer film fesival screened films in a variety of theatrical and historical venues in Downtown LA, which provided a unique and ecclectic platform for all screenings. The festival screened 200 films, and held over 10 gala parties in penthouses, on rooftops, and various extravagant areas throughout Downtown LA.

On August 10th, 2008 -- West attended the premiere of "The Clone Wars" -- George Lucas' new computer generated animated "Star Wars" movie, at the Egyptian Theatre in Hollywood, California.
Some of those in attendance were: George Lucas (Creator of the "Star Wars" and "Indiana Jones" movies) -- Dave Filoni (Director of the "Clone Wars" movie and TV animated series) -- J. J. Abrams (Creator of the TV series' "Alias" and "Lost", Director of "Mission Impossible 3" and the upcoming "Star Trek" movie) -- Joel Silver (Producer of the "Matrix" and "Die Hard" movies) -- Forest Whitaker (Oscar Award Winning Actor: "The Last King of Scotland") -- and Seth Green (Actor: "Austin Powers" movies, "Family Guy" TV series and "Robot Chicken" TV series creator). There were various "carnival like" activities in the courtyard in front of the theatre -- with a Red Carpet entrance appropriately lined with iconic Clone Troopers. This is the third "Star Wars" movie to hold its premiere at the historic Egyptian Theatre -- with the prior two being "The Empire Strkikes Back" in 1980 and "Return of the Jedi" in 1983.

West met esteemed filmmaker Ridley Scott (director of "Alien", "Blade Runner", "Gladiator", "Body of Lies") at a special screening of "Blade Runner" on the backlot of Warner Brothers on June 14th, 2008 -- and afterwards, walked with Scott and a small group of fellow film aficionados on the backlot's "New York Street" area (where much of "Blade Runner" was filmed). Scott spoke of his production experiences while shooting "Blade Runner" -- and referenced areas on the studio lot as if he'd shot the movie yesterday. "Hide and Seek" was shown on national television in the horror special "Extreme Scream" -- which aired on the "Versus/VS" Network -- a network broadcasted into approximately 74 million households nationwide. "Hide and Seek" was the first film to be featured in the show -- and this unique program contained discussions about the horror genre, as well as included footage from various horror movies.

"Hide and Seek" is currently being featured on "bloody-disgusting.com" -- a popular horror website that offers comprehensive coverage of the horror genre, with thousands of
news and feature articles on movies; including
interviews with directors and screenwriters.

"Hide and Seek" is currently being showcased by "Monsters HD" -- the first all Horror Channel, broadcasting exclusively in 1080i High definition. Programming includes uncut and commercial free monster movies featuring such well-known villains as Freddy Krueger ("A Nightmare on Elm Street"), Jason Voorhees ("Friday The 13th"), Frankenstein and Godzilla. In addition, "Monsters HD" showcases creative and innovative independent film talent, giving platform to film auteurs of a new generation.

"The Independent Film Channel" is currently showcasing "Hide and Seek" - IFC states: "IFC exhibits the movies that people talk about; we work with the director who gets the accolades for taking chances; we obsess about independent films on television. Independent films stand the test of time. They are not reliant on the latest fad, trend or special effect. Instead they are provocative, challenging and enlightening - representing a point of view, the personal vision of the filmmaker. This vision remains valid, the stories remain relevant, and the emotional connection is still as real years later as it was the day the film was released."


"Hide and Seek" is currently being showcased by the Universal Studios/NBC horror channel "Chiller TV": a unique 24 hour TV channel featuring classic and contemporary horror movies and TV shows.

"Hide and Seek" was invited to be featured on the innovative "Crackle" entertainment network website, and is continuing to be showcased by the site. Crackle, Inc., a Sony Pictures Entertainment Company, states: "we are a streaming entertainment network dedicated to the discovery and development of pioneering video creators across a diverse range of genres. Crackle delivers programmed and customized video streams to a global audience via a multi-platform, syndication network that includes Sony devices, IPTV, leading social networks and one-click viral Web distribution. Crackle launches the most innovative creators with on-going collaboration with Sony Pictures Entertainment and other leading fame partners."


West's short film "Hide and Seek" was featured on the Steven Spielberg produced website: "On the Lot" -- a showcase for innovative and creative independent film talent.

West's short film "Hide and Seek" was chosen to open the International Science Fiction, Fantasy, Horror, Animation & Anime Film Festival " Shockerfest" on September 24, 2005 -- and received outstanding acclaim from the many filmmakers and film aficionados in attendance. The screening was held at "Brenden Theatres" in Modesto, California -- the hometown of George Lucas -- and the locale where Lucas shot his classic film "Amercan Graffiti." West's short film "Hide and Seek" was selected to open the International Horror, Thriller, Sci-Fi, Fantasy Film Festival "Shriekfest" in Hollywood, California on September 17, 2005 -- and received high acclaim from the many filmmakers and film aficionados in attendance. The screening was held at the legendary "Raleigh Studios" -- located directly across from Paramount Pictures Studios. "Raleigh Studios" is host to several notable movie and television productions. Historically, it is also home to several classic horror movie moments: including being utilized for John Carpenter's original 1980 classic: "The Fog". West's "Hide and Seek" short film has been selected to be shown on "Undergroundfilm.org" -- an acclaimed and groundbreaking independent film website that specializes in unique and provocative film entertainment.


On December 10, 2004 -- West attended a special anniversary screening of the cult classic horror film "Black Christmas" in Los Angeles, California -- "Black Christmas" Director Bob Clark (Director of "A Christmas Story", Porky's 1 & 2", and many other fan favorite films); musical composer Carl Zittrer, and actor John Saxon spoke and shared of their experiences making the movie. Tony Masi, the webmaster of the "Halloween Movies" website: www.halloweenmovies.com - and the producer of the "Halloween: 25 Years of Terror" documentary based upon the "Halloween" movies series, also attended this celebratory event.

"Hide and Seek" was selected to be aired by "ManiaTV!" -- an innovative internet broadcast channel, the first of it's kind in history, and immediately became a viewer favorite. "Hide and Seek" has been in constant play and rotation on "Mania TV!" since it's debut in the Fall of 2004.



In May 2004, West's short film "Hide and Seek" short film was selected along with (7) out of approximately (60) submitted short and feature length films for honorary mention in the "Independent Horror Movie Search" held at Creation Entertainment's "Days of Darkness: A Celebration of Horror" event -- an exciting horror movie convention which takes place annually in Los Angeles, California -- and brings filmmakers and stars of classic horror movies together with horror fans from all over the world!
Adam Malin, Creation Entertainment's CO-CEO, had the following praise for the original "Hide and Seek" short film: "...it's a stylistic look into the mind of a maniac ...voyeuristic and frightening. This first person viewpoint into the psyche of a mass murderer is not for the faint of heart!"

West's short film "Hide and Seek" short film premiered on IFILM in May 2004. ifilm is the most popular internet site for viewing independent films -- with even Hollywood studios realizing its importance by using it as a venue to promote their own releases. "Hide and Seek" has consistently received several viewings AKA "hits" since its premiere on the ifilm site -- and is one of its most viewed widely viewed short films ever!
In July 2004, the "Hide and Seek" short film was selected by IFILM's programming committee to be showcased and featured through their premium service: IFILM Plus+ as well as a featured selection on their main site's short films showcase. For a film to be selected for this honor, IFILM states the following on their website: "Of our new short films and video clips, we make the most compelling content exclusive to IFILM Plus+".

West's short film "Hide and Seek was included in
the "winner's circle" of films which played at the first ever
"Halloween" Convention held in Pasadena, California in October
2003. This
25th anniversary of the legendary "Halloween" movie saga was
celebrated with fans in attendance from all over the world,
and included many filmmakers, writers, actors, and musicians
who've brought the movies series to fruition. The finale of the event
was marked with an appearance by Moustapha Akkad -- the legendary
producer of all of the "Halloween" movies!
West's short film "Hide and Seek" was selected to be shown at the CREEPFEST HOLLYWOOD FILM FESTIVAL held at the popular Goth Rock club BAR SINISTER in Hollywood, California. The eclectic audience's reaction was ecstatic!
